Dr. Michael Allgrunn is an Associate Professor of Economics in the Beacom School of Business at the University of South Dakota.  Dr. Allgrunn received his Ph.D. from Michigan State University, specializing in Labor Economics and Econometrics.  His research has covered a variety of economic areas, including unemployment, immigration, experimental economics, regional economic impact, and public policy.  He currently serves on the South Dakota Governor’s Council of Economic Advisors.  Dr. Allgrunn lives in Vermillion with his wife and two children.
